Solitude City

Cars race past along the street.
Tall buildings linger over me.
Street lamps light my walking feet.
My shadow is my company.

Tall buildings linger over me,
When barren alleys remain dark.
My shadow is my company,
This night is cold and stark.

When barren alleys remain dark,
The wind rustles through the trees.
This night is cold and stark,
In a city devoid of life to see.

The wind rustles through the trees,
As shadows devour the light.
In a city devoid of life to see,
Might a person fall from great height.

As shadows devour the light,
Cars race past along the street.
Might a person fall from great height,
Street lamps light my walking feet.

We remain in solitude,
~Chiko...
